High Quality Recycled 3D Printer Filament
Cae Post and Refil have teamed up to bring high quality recycled filament made from old plastic bottles and old car dashboards to the UK.
3D printing is one of today’s fastest growing technologies and is being used to create all sorts of three dimensional objects made out of plastic filament. However, rather than using new plastic, Refil has come up with a sustainable solution by creating 3D printer filament made from recycled plastic, such as old water bottles (blue filament), old Sprite bottles (green filament) and mixed bottles (transparent filament).
As a well known local supplier of environmentally based services, Cae Post has been appointed the exclusive distributor of Refil recycled 3D printer filament in the UK.
After years of extensive testing and fine-tuning, Refil has introduced the highest quality recycled filament on the market today. What’s more, the filament is wound on recycled cardboard cores, which can of course be recycled again when the filament has been used up, making it a circular economy product all the way.
By using recycled materials, Refil is not only helping to stop some of these plastics ending up in landfill, or worse, in the sea, but is also helping to reduce demand for new plastic, which is made from oil, a limited resource.
Cae Post is proud to be working with Refil to develop the market for recycled 3D printer filament in the UK.
The following range of recycled 3D printer filament is now available in the UK and can be purchased directly from the Refil online shop.

How is recycled 3D filament made?
Refil recycled 3D printer filament is made from car dashboards and PET bottles which are thoroughly cleaned and shredded into tiny plastic flakes. Refil’s extensive quality control makes it the best on the market.
These flakes are then filtered of all contaminants, melted and extruded into clean 1.75mm or 2.85mm wide string.
This freshly recycled filament is then wound onto biodegradable cardboard spools…
…and another batch of fully recycled filament is ready to be printed into whatever you can imagine!
