Trade waste

General trade waste collection

We offer a general waste collection service in all areas of Powys and north Shropshire (except Brecon and Hay-on-Wye at the moment) for any materials which cannot be recycled.

Cae Post lorryAlong with your recycling, Cae Post can offer your business a ‘one stop shop’ general waste collection as part of our trade services, at a very competitive price.

We know from what our customers tell us that it is often much easier if one organisation deals with all your waste and recycling, rather than having to use different people to collect different things. That’s why we continue to expand our trade waste services to businesses across Powys and north Shropshire.

We work with all sorts of organisations – big and small – from offices, shops and schools to caravan parks and industrial premises, so, no matter what size of business or organisation you may have, please do feel free to get in touch with us to find out how we can help you.

Convenient and flexible

We provide different types of collection containers to suit your premises and your storage space and our collection services can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly and varied during the year to suit the demands of your business, which can be particularly useful, for example, for caravan parks and other seasonal businesses.

Duty of care

We provide a Controlled Waste Note as part of our service. This document is a legal requirement to show that as a business you are using a registered waste carrier and a disposer with a site licence. Other service providers may look cheaper per collection but may charge extra for this document. We are registered with Natural Resource Wales and our waste carrier Number is CBDL925 and our Waste Management Licence is EPR-CB3133AN.

Supporting our social objectives

Cae Post employeesWe employ local individuals who would otherwise struggle to find a job, or offer and pay for training in order to secure long term employment, making these individuals economically active in our communities. We do not have shareholders or private individuals benefiting from huge bonuses or profit sharing, instead every penny we make is spent on achieving our charitable objectives.

Take Rob for example. He is 21 years old and has learning disabilities. He has previously found employment through a traineeship funded programme earning just £50 per week for a 40 hour week, but as soon as that funding ends, so does his employment. We first employed him in August 2016 on a 26 week work programme and during that time he proved himself invaluable to the smooth running of our operation, and we have taken him into full time employment. He is hard working, uses his initiative, identifies any potential issues and resolves them immediately.

Your business gives us the chance to help people like Rob and many others who would find it hard to secure meaningful employment.

right Waste, right Place

right Waste right Place logo Cae PostDid you know that 56% of UK businesses are not complying with the law on the duty of care for waste? And this is despite recent changes to sentencing guidelines and the removal of the £5,000 maximum fine in the Magistrates Court.

Cae Post is committed to promoting best practice when it comes to the duty of care for waste and that businesses are fully aware of their responsibility for the good management of waste and recycling. That’s why we recently became an ambassador for the right Waste, right Place campaign, a national initiative aimed at raising awareness of the Duty of Care for waste amongst UK businesses.
